Auralex Absorption

Auralex offers the most renowned absorption products in the industry. They provide a cost effective and elegant solution for your sound absorption needs. Absroption materials are usually one of two types, high-quality acoustic foam and specially manufactured acoustic fiberglass. For the sake of ease, you will see acoustic foam refered to as simply "foam" around our website, but do not be mislead. The materials science and manufacturing behind acoustic foam and its relative acoustic performance is rigorous, to say the least. Those that do not know the difference often substitute egneric foam as an acoustic foam, but have only a fraction of the performance. Many "Acoustic Foam" manufacturers have also failed to product products that do not perform as well as they could.

Auralex produces an additional type of acoustic foam named "SonoFiber," which is a Class A fire resistant, natural fiber panel. It is quite popular due to this enhanced safety feature and most cutomers claim to have increased "Peace of Mind" using them. Many projects that require a Class A fire rating and that must be completed with a budget in mind, can utilize SonoFiber as an ideal solution.
